Tomb of Writ There is a tomb of writ Near the heart of all It dictates the champions And those doomed to fall Some there are that feel it And recoil from it’s touch Some can stand to watch it Though they need a crutch There are no tears to shed Laughter rings in the mount There are smiles on the faces As the time we do account There are secrets on these pages Of which no man will speak It’s a record of fools Of the strength of the weak It’s a record of living And of secrets thus expressed Melancholy happiness Of a life too richly blest And even sometimes The unchecked joy Of a running child Overcomes the pensive boy Here is my crutch For you to hold All the little secrets You were never told My melancholy is purely my own |

wow!!! That intro-stanza was amazing! I loved how you started it out and everything flowed nicely. (Library) So together but so broken inside |

Nicely written, i really enjoyed reading this! With God I am happy; sadness has no say in my life. |
