I
Sleep
And
Remain
Tired

I sleep
To forget
All the
Awful things
They say

I hug the
Bear you gave
Me and I
Ashamedly let my
Tears rain down

Only weaklings cry says
Too proud inner voice
But does that voice
Know that I am
Too tired to care?

My dreams do not aid
Me in my search for
Peace tonight. And I fear
I will be awake till
Dawn, wandering my restless mind
Screaming ‘peace I cannot find’

This too skinny weakling
Has a proud mind
That does not care
That I still remain
Much, much too tired

I hug the
Bear you gave
Me and I
Ashamedly let my
Tears rain down

I sleep
And Hope
I forget
What they
Said tonight

I
Sleep
And
Remain
Exhausted
