Patch the Failing Seams What do I do? When I see no relief Nothing to say In this time so brief I’ll cry for you darling What can I say? Deep pools of hurt I can’t simply wish away Know now the metaphor More true than it seems I’ll cry for you darling Wish to patch the failing seams What do I say? To dry the tearing eyes Nothing to do To stop time as it flies Let the salt tears Fall on my dry parched ground Run after the shadow Run like the sentless hound Know now the metaphor More true than it seems I’ll cry for you darling Wish to patch the failing seams Could never sever The ties that bind Could never change The strong and the kind Don’t raise the cross Nor the burning stake Can’t stop the pain Nor my friend forsake Know now the metaphor More true than it seems I’ll cry for you darling Wish to patch the failing seams OH SHUT UP SHUT UP AND GIVE SOMEONE ELSE A CHANCE!!!! |
