Every tear that falls marks another forgotten voice Each cry that escapes mark another stolen choice Hands lifting up to the sky, watching... waiting for rain to fall Searching the clouds for some sign the gods heard their call Standing in razed fields, barefoot, because they have nowhere to go Children grow up not understanding why their people have no home Crossing borders makes no difference , not enough people are ashamed of the what they haven't done and most people close their eyes or look away Holding tight to the bonds that bind the intact families Reliving for the children the innocence of childhood memories Speaking up with the only outlet they know- crippling violence Taking innocent lives isn't right but no one breaks the silence. Bombs attached to sacrificed children explode amidst crowds Hate is taught in parents tears and grievances whispered aloud Two peoples who have both been trying to return home Neither used to not being oppressed and on their own Words aren't spoken-deaths tell the story of the desperate situation We say no one is speaking up but what if we don't know how to listen? |

rhia this is awesome. i love to see the older poets from pip still here. what happened to them all? every once in a while i see a post from The Shadow In Blue or Stargal. these always make me happy. poetry is really the best way to express how you feel about anything. |
