So Much Better in Love

Living a small town life they say,
workin’ at the diner down the street.
A happy girl and a smart one, too,
But one that the boys would never see.

Then a guy moved into town, introduced himself,
Fell in love with her in a few days.
And though is new friends begged him not to,
He proceeded to sweep her away.

Now she looks so much better in love,
Everybody stops and stares.
When he tells her that he loves her she almost glows
From the tips of her toes to the tips of her hair.

No one ever noticed her jewel-green eyes
Or her pretty little carefree smile.
The whole town talked about her all day
Such a beauty’d been among ‘em such a while.

Boys ran into walls that day,
The girls couldn’t keep their eyes off.
She’d been a caterpillar just the day before,
Now s he’s showin’ her butterfly wings off.

She looks so much better in love,
The prettiest girl you’ll ever see.
When he wraps his arms around her and holds her tight
She’s pretty as she can be.

She’s still crazy about him,
They got married today.
You can bet the boys are kickin’ themselves
For letting that beautiful girl get away!
