hmm so as many have probobly guessed i got a bit tired of the same old, same old. so i messed around with free verse a bit, then was like, hey, im going to attempt a shakespearian sonnet for my love!! so i know its a bit weird, but heres my first ever attempt at a sonnet. be honest if u reply. xoxo, Jaki H __________________________________________ How shall I show thee how much I do care For you, my love, are all that I desire Thy smile is warm, and skin so soft and fair Forever will my heart burn passion’s fire To lie in bed and hold you close to heart The tingle of thy breath upon my neck Sculptures entwined to mock platonic art Not two, but one embarking on life’s trek But love extends much farther than the touch In sooth, our minds and souls were formed the same And lover using lover as a crutch, All secrets told and loyalties proclaimed Though time corrodes youth’s passion to a dust, Eternal love is far more than youth’s lust |
