I’m sorry I never whispered those words fearing my ears would only catch the soft breeze as it sailed in the moonlight. That only an owl high in his mighty nest would cry to his prey, taunting him with a sweet lullaby. I’m sorry I never held on, fearing my arms would grow tired carrying the weight of a troubled heart. That they would fall and sink in an ocean of tears never to hold another again. I thought I feared nothing, till I imagined my life without you. |
