The Witch and the Atheist

Smoke curls from a hut in the woods
Open for all to see
For a ways a way in a quiet town
Lives, also, unbelief

For God, he made the world
Sent spirits before darkest hell
But when these two he sent,
Missions to fulfill

On him their backs they turned
Spirits of dark light found
Wandering in a wilderness
Devoid of Heaven's sound

So here we are in heaven
In love and thus in hell
Hoping two to save
And hated evil to dispel

How can I argue with such bright eyes?
The greyest which, the greatest disguise
And, try as I might, the villains tongue
Has me now- I'm almost won

What is white and what is black
Will witches spell send me back?
But nay, nor unbelievers feat
Could send our souls into retreat

I run t'wards this hopeless aim
Hoping to win yet hoping to lose
And I find that I have nothing left
To give besides this awful news

So here I am reaching for a hand
Witch will clasp and do I care?
But the cold, cold hand of disbelief
Is even pulled from my despair

Where is the friend I long for?
Whose fond words draw but light
I'm walking in a wilderness
And found naught but night

The truth spins round in circles
But God speaks from above
He issues us comfort
In all forms of love

"Lucy: I think you are the most selfish person on the planet. George: Well that's just silly. Have you met everyone on the planet?"

This was EPIC!! Exelent work (and less mistakes on my part) if I do say so myself!

Thanks Kate!

Earl Robertson is quite right; this was indeed epic. AMAZING work you two, you should collaborate more often; although on your own, the awe is still contained. Amazing.
