What are the Mysteries

What are the mysteries
Which we hold so dear?
What is the darkness
The light which we do fear?

What is this twisted fate
Which binds us to the earth?
What are these secrets?
We learned them not from birth

What is this useless truth
Which is two thirds a lie?
Where are our simple lives
In peace live love and die?
