Heres one from my vault. Lol this is sooo cheesy!

Ode to Sleep

The pace of the world,
Like racing on the freeway.
To see
To smell
To feel
To taste
Too much!
And then finally to slow
To stop and sink
to fall,
into the abyss
To see
To smell
To feel
To taste
No more!
Perfect bliss
ended by perfect nothingness
Alluring warmth
Draws you in
but nothingness engulfs you
Shadows crowd your vision
Nightmares in every darkening corner
Dreams in the murky light
None are realized,
or remembered.
After the nothingness
When the dreams creep back in
Light enters through the cracks
You have slept enough it screams!
And thus justice descends
Oh sleep!
I silently call you back,
but the more I struggle to retain you,
The more simply you evade my grasp
Sleep, that blissful nothingness departs
So I arise
and return
To the freeway of the world.

umm this one made me think (so hard on sundays . . .lol) but it's nice to have some new stuff from you to read- it's always fun to unravel.

suprisenly understood all of this and no earl this is not cheesy lol....
(well honestly when i started to read it i thought "ugh this is cheesy" but then the discription started to come and then the meaning to your poem begain ot show and i relized it wasnt cheesy lol)
