You don’t know why I did it. Do you know how much I want to tell you? No, of course you don’t. I had to push you away. Cant you see? of course you cant I had to. I wanted you so bad. I turn you away. Leave you high and dry And give myself instead to pen and paper. And do you know why? You are not for my arms. You were made for him. And no matter how much I love you You belong in his arms. When you grow up and have kids And live the life I could not give How you were born to live. And when you lose your love for me, and maybe even mine for you. I will forever hold my peace. |
