Something about this life is so bleak;
The way people prey on the vulnerable weak;
But there seems to be a light in this dark;
A bright shining star in the sky when I walk the park;

Sometimes I sit and wonder what it could be;
What it is that is shining down on me;
Thats when it hits me just like a truck;
Comes at me so fast I need to duck;

That's when I wake and there you are;
Youre always near, you never go far;
Always looking out for me like I'm a brother;
Keeping me from the hate and pain of another;

I never understood this feeling I had;
Why whenever you got hurt I felt so bad;
It wasn't long before I started catching on;
Why I felt so alone when you were gone;

You may not want to believe me;
Or you may even pretend not to see;
But the purpose of my actions remains true;
I do the things I do because I Love You.

Love...a feeling that is unlike anything else. it makes you so happy, and then makes you hate everything. so many poems are about love, but i liked this here. it was nice.
