I couldn't swallow, couldn't talk
Everything went into slow motion
Tried to run but my steps seemed to balk

How can I seem so lost in this world,
and yet I'm safe and calm?
I don't know how it works,
but still I'll stay so strong

I'll never know how my life will change
until I walk through that open door

Sometimes I find myself shaking in the middle of the night,
I wake up and can't believe this is my life
