I’d rather live in Fairy Tales

There was once, in a land
A story so true
That no story teller
Would tell it to you

It spoke of misery
And lives of mistakes
Where things don’t get better
As liars die as fakes

Because sometimes
In true reality
The heroes are just villains
With less humanity

The bad guys have some good
And the women have great flaws
And the men that we salute
Don’t abide the laws

Real life isn’t easy
Like fairy tales will say
Most of life is scary
And all the good guys pay

How can we live
In a world so distorted
And not see the way
That bad can be thwarted

and in the daylight i miss the nightmare- but deathly fear it in the dark of night

this is really good. its so true. i like how it rings true but doesnt beat us down.
