New just Sounds so Cliché

The life that I once lived
Is now beyond my former reach
The only things I live for now
Are the moments of relief

I want so bad to hear you
To have you near me once again
I want to see you waiting
As my day begins

You are crafty steward
A master of many arts
But the key is subtly hidden
The key to open my heart

I’m not even sure what you’re after
Perhaps a new face to set your sights
You’re different then the rest of them
You’re on a higher height

My heart is scared so deeply
But it is more whole than I could hope
It’s almost at a new existence
One where I can cope

It’s a bit different to see you stare at me
When we used to be just friends
And now you long to know my life
My heart’s breaks and mends

It’s nice to know you’re out there
It’s nice to know you care
Perhaps our futures give us both
An exception far too rare

and in the daylight i miss the nightmare- but deathly fear it in the dark of night

I read your poem. I liked it. I read it again. I loved. Why is this? *quiet lol* Anyway, nice one and good luck!
