There’s always questions in my mind, The “maybes” of what I left behind, Or the fears of what I just might find, When I look beyond the past. Maybe one day I’ll be able to let go Maybe I won’t have to prove my value, somebody will know, Someday I won’t have to put on a show For something that might not last. Maybe I can avoid all the hurt and pain, Avoid all the guys who just think it’s a game, Maybe this time it can be my gain, And I can forget about you. Maybe I can find a love you can’t buy, And not have to question if their love’s in good supply, Or if tomorrow will be another goodbye, Maybe I need something new. But my heart holds back, my minds not enough, To convince my heart that I have to be tough, I don’t want to let go, you just mean too much, I don’t want to let go. I don’t want to have to go on living each day wishing I could take back how things got this way, cause I’m already all out of words to say. I care more than I’ll let you know. I might hide it from you, my heart puts up the fight, I’m a storm, twisted and turned, but never shedding light on who’s to say whether your brain or your heart is right? Your narcoleptic love is tearing me apart. Maybe you’d be surprised to see, The love that grew inside of me, After all this I still want to be, The girl who has your heart. AIM-beatufu1tragidy |

"Maybe I won’t have to prove my value, somebody will know, Someday I won’t have to put on a show" I can't believe that I might've missed reading this poem, I am so glad I didn't! I loved the part I put above becanse I can relate so well to those few lines. In fact lots of the lines in this poem I can relate too... This one I would have to say would be my favorite poem by you. The start and end was perfect in this poem. I loved how the ending seemed to wrap it all up, leaving no loose ends. Amazing job and thanks for sharing this marvelous piece! But my heart holds back, my minds not enough, To convince my heart that I have to be tough, I don’t want to let go, you just mean too much, I don’t want to let go. This was my favourite stanza, I'm not really sure why, but I can really realate to it and I love the way it flows and rolls off the tounge. I liked the whole poem, it was good, and I can really relate to what you're feeling, and I think a lot of other people can too. But even though it's a topic lots of people can relate to, it's still original. This is the first poem I've read by you, but I will be looking for more! ~Life Ain't Always Beautiful~ |

"But my heart holds back, my minds not enough, To convince my heart that I have to be tough, I don’t want to let go, you just mean too much, I don’t want to let go." This was also my favorite stanza, I can just really relate to it a lot. Not my favorite write by you, but still great nonetheless (and I loved the title too!). ~Alli~ |
