Poor, poor me, adrift at sea, alone without an anchor. I still holdfast, to a broken mast, split by heavy rancor. I can not sing, Nor will I cling, To an empty melody. I leave the dance, not a backwards glance, at that circle of amity. Cast away, I've lost my way, traversing this empty path. Alone I grumble, as I stumble, for lack of proper lath. We are each of us angels with only one wing. And we can only fly by embracing each other. |

Hmm... I haven't read this in a while... I've been thinking lately, and I've realized that nothing really holds me down. It got me thinking more, and I realized I needed an anchor. And thus this poem was born! Lol... Who am I kidding? I got lucky. |
