She’s in her own world and it feels so right Here, in this back room she hears voices all around Some in her direction, some going nowhere at all Her mind blanks out and she focuses on the music in her head It’s telling her the story of what she is tonight - A lonely girl in the corner, lost in the utopia of her mind It’ll be hell leaving this behind for a world far from perfect, One where she can’t get by without disconnecting herself from reality She floats down stream, into sadness’ arms – The place where she belongs, the place that’ll always be open to her No pill can make her happy, only love can But she’s running from love when she leaves this world Will the day ever come when she goes where the voices tell her to, When she pauses the music and listens to her friends? They’re trying to help her, but she doesn’t want to be saved All she wants is to stay with sadness where it feels so right I know you'll be a sun in somebody else's sky, but why can't it be mine? |
