What I haven’t Said

My dear, you were right
There’s so much I have kept
My true minds thoughts
The things that trouble me

I know I could tell you
But I choose not to make you sad
I think I’m depressed
And everything seems so hard

My life is not at stake
I’m not a stupid girl
My heart just seems to die
Family life is killing my core

I would tell you
Truly I would
But I don’t want you to worry
And I don’t think it matters

Maybe you wouldn’t care
Or say I’m a silly girl
I think that would hurt
Far worse than anything else

You asked me a question today
And I told you halve truths
It was more than physical injury
I’m crippled inside from grief

My dear, you were right
I just haven’t told you all
