You were my knight,
Who had came to rescue me,
From this really bad guy,
That wanted to string me along,
And make me ache and lose everything,
You had said that you wanted to be better than the rest,
That you were going to treat me better,
Than any guy before you,
You were going to make me smile,
And treat me right,
Because I was your fairy,

In your mind’s eye,
With big brown and green wing’s,
That I would wrap around us both,
And I wanted to go up into the air with you,
With stars flowing all around,
Because you always loved space,
And the night tends to be so much prettier than day,
I once said I wanted to have those wing’s,
And you told me I already had them,
That only you could see them,
I was happy,
Because I liked knowing only you could see them,
That only you could picture them,

I see them now my love,
And their not pretty like you said,
Their bloody and torn and hanging crooked,
So I’m going back into the cage that the guy before you had created,
The one with the silver strong bars,
That don’t let me out,
Only this time,
There’s no knight to save me,
All there is,
Is me with broken wing’s and tear stained cheeks,
I’m dead inside my dragon,
You killed everything you healed.
