I can't believe this really happened,
I can't believe you're gone.
It's like i'm living a horrid nightmare,
That should fade away by dawn.

But no, it's true, you really died;
How could this happen to me?
I wish i hadn't drove you away,
If only i had seen...

I want to tell you what i ment,
The night that you walked out.
I want you to know that i still love you,
Of that there is no doubt.

Your car was found, upside down,
Not even in one piece.
I wish i could have stopped this,
Or saved your life, at least.

How much i need you, you'll never know;
I guess this is all just fate.
You'll never know what i ment to say,
Because i said it way too late.

So no more hiding all your pain, you deserve a new start. That's why i'm closing myself away, this is a message from your heart.

This poem reminds me of all the things we never say.. and when we do it comes too late... I loved this. Thank you for the reminder I think right now i am going to tell the people I love how much they mean to me. Beeautiful words.

Thanks...and yes, do tel the people you love how much they mean to you. It really hurts when you don't, and they die.

This poem truly made me want to sniffle and hug you. I've never lost a loved one through death. I think i'd die myself if i did. Even when they walk away it's better knowing their living.

i love the repetition of your lines, it strikes the image into my mind when you do that. Death is such a common theme, yet can also be the most powerful for other readers to be influenced by. I look forward to reading your poems in the future!
