It’s Alright to Cry So the weather’s a little sticky And my mood is dark and lippy You think that I’m lying to you I never lie; I promise that it is true I’m reading myself to sleep My mind’s eye is in it and getting deep You come and sit with me for hours on end I don’t know what you wish me to mend You talk of hearts and broken things And then of moonlight and hairlet rings I listen, best as I can My nature is not so that I can listen on demand I was never much for words and promises My life is full of half made compromises So let’s let action take its course It does no good to try brute-like force I’d had times like you’re going through I thought I was alone and stuck like you Untrue as it was, it seemed so real Until I climbed to the other side of Hypocrisy Hill It’s okay to cry Tears don’t make you die It’s alright to fear It won’t make you any less dear "I thought I'd just mention in passing . . . I always wanted a Sparkly of my very own." -Jeremy The Crow |

That's true, it is ok to cry, and it is ok to fear. You just have to know when to stop crying, and what fears to face to move on. I liked it, the flow was a little off, but i still liked it Nice job. So no more hiding all your pain, you deserve a new start. That's why i'm closing myself away, this is a message from your heart. |

Hey RenaissanceRomanceRunsRed, Wow! I was greatly impressed by this poem, by the ending! I wasn't sure how you were going to end this or how the title fit but I feel like you wrapped it up quite nicely, it wasn't an abrupt ending and it wasn't on and on like a lot of poems. I really enjoyed reading this piece, I think it is the first one of yours I have read and I look forward to seeing what else you have posted "The rising morning can't insure that we shall end the day; For death stands ready at the door to snatch our lives away" |
