I REMEMBER I remember little of My childhood and so many things It seems a trait I cannot change And often such frustration brings I do remember things of need To help me through another day But other things just hide to dark And in my mind just fade away Some remember all their time A gift that most of us don’t know They taste their past as so define And on that thought at whim can go Time alas won’t slow enough For me to store my memories keep In room I’ve shoved some visions view That comes at times within my sleep You ask for names, I do not know Remember though some little things And really that is how I go And what the normal day it brings But now I start to listen more To realize that in life there’s need For memories that some moments crave For yesterdays so mind can feed Each day I age and more forget But really I don’t mind at all For in this life so much I get And try each day to have a ball |

Dear Rick, this was such a beautiful read and well you do to live in the NOW and enjoying it as much as you can. When we try to force events of the past into our memory they will elude us, it happens to me too. I found sweet love words back from the teenager time once and couldn't remember who those romantic boys were!! That was frustrating indeed, but what really counted in our lives remains with us, I am sure. So I remember in great detail my true first love ... Anyway memories are always "awakened" by something that catches our eyes in the now. It just happened to me like this now thanks to your beautiful words ... Love, Margherita |

Each day I age and more forget But really I don’t mind at all For in this life so much I get And try each day to have a ball. You have cerrainly got the right attitude in this one my good friend. If you have the right attitude, there is nothing that you can't overcome if you set your mind to it. Great write Rick. Lindsay |

Sometimes, I think I remember too much... and need a Gibbs' slap (NCIS fan here *G*) to remind me to look forward, not always back. *S* I love this... especially the ending! *S* |
