Listening to every heart

Nothing, easy….

Nothing comes easy, at least,
no thing worthwhile;
every step is uphill, yet, begets a smile…
for if into sun we’re climbing,
then perhaps the night may rest calm;
and if troubles persist a soul,
mayhap some words would be balm.

This is a time for cross-roads,
perhaps a time to adjust the scales;
take stock before the Maker,
and ask Jonah of the Whale;
shift the sands of uneasy
to a sand that is quick, and sure,
while life is finding time
to offer its’ simple cures…

To seek a horizon’s quest, and not shudder
from all that is unknown
to tarry awhile with life’s awesome,
and not hold it, all alone…

I hope this, in momentary…

a    sweet    second       of some bliss….

is kin to ever-knowing,
a moment that won’t be missed.

Ah, when I saw the date on this poem, as if it were a great wine, I said it was a good year, blessed with beauty and wisdom! I'll have to read this again and again, to truly taste of its goodness.

Thanks, Sunshine, for sharing this marvelous poem---

The prophet Isaiah decried the people's disaffection for struggle, when he said,. ". . you say do not speak unto us right things, but speak to us smooth things." Nothing, easy---such wisdom endures the test of tome.

Yo dear Sunshine,

Life isn't supposed to be easy.  That wasn't/isn't God's intention.

Nice work on this poem Hon.

Love Bobby

I'm glad I saw this one.
Brilliant writing.

This makes me stop and think about a lot of things, but I am enjoying the thoughts though. Thanks Sunshine.

You've got that right, Karilea. Nothing ever comes easy. Sometimes, it takes a lot of hard work and effort to get from one place to another.

Surely nothing comes easy, if it did may be we will not realize the worth of it. Lovely writing.

What a beautiful inspiration, Sunshine.
Isn't it splendid how we can take a look back and learn again from our own words?

Dear Karilea, you have put a lot of thought into this one and too true, life was meant

to be easy. But the satisfaction you gain when you have conquered your problem makes

it all worth while. Great write my friend.
Love to you dear Lady

Sunshine - good things never seem to come easy for some reason. But when they do they are worth waiting for...
