The Canvas and the Frame

Everybody is going to somewhere
But there not getting anywhere fast
Nobody knows where they are going to
But no one wants to be there last,

Trains pulling out packed full of strangers
No two people it seems are alike
Time is the thing that we are all part of
We are the trains on life's' tracks.

The hustle and bustle adds to the beauty
Of life here weathering all the storms
Children hug there Grannies
Lovers kiss and weep while sat on the forms,

Dirty fumes and a dark silences follow
The paths of so many commuters are done
The platform lies still in the mist
No more life here! except the souls that have gone,

Trains pulling in quiet and empty
They always come back for more
Time is the thing we're all a part of
We will all pass through the Stations door.

Every day there is joy and sadness
Like the thoughts in a picture they just came
It watches and sees; The people pass right through
Because the Station is the canvas and the frame.
