I look out, ungratefully, upon the frozen earth, I tisk, "so this is my life" and I wonder what it's worth. The sun shining into the room should be a sign of some rebirth, I made it through the icy night with mostly fortitude and girth. A yearning comes over me as the ice breaks the trees, "God, tell me you have something more in store for my life, please?" Mama would tell me I got love and that's all I should ever need, a single-wide in the middle of cows and a garden that provides us feed- a bed, pillow, a dog and cat, and all the books I could ever read. I long to feel happiness in the sun... God, please take away my greed. |

Dear Dixie, it's nice to read you, even though you have written a melancholic piece. We are part of immensity and though we lack nothing there is always something in us that yearns for the Whole. It is quite comprehensible. But as you pray, it means you are conscious of having reason for gratitude... and God knows. Enjoy and live the slow awakening to Spring. We need to learn to BE and to ENJOY BEING... then we LIVE in gratitude. Intense write. Love and hugs. Margherita |

to breathe is to sigh in the face of God...to truly live is to sigh deeply... |
