"The Rapids of Time" For one who loathes the steady flow of Time The future is a frightening thing to face Its rapids rush us on toward the falls While forcing us to keep its frenzied pace In vain we try to fight against the surge And barely keep our heads above the waves, As closer to the waterfall we're forced To plunge into the depths, our watery grave Yet just before we plummet o'er the edge, Before we lose control and fall away, We're plucked from out the roaring river's grasp By providence, to face another day! Very powerful poem, dear Timothy, you caught the anxiety of the quick passing of our days very well. Just wished a happy birthday to a friend a few minutes ago and we were talking about this topic. To live in the now helps. Enjoyed your visuals very much. Love, Margherita "Love is the One who masters all things; |
