Trying To Please Trying to please Unable to fill their need No matter how hard you try You cannot fill their inadequacy You cry in torment Because of their lonely desire You think you are the cause and you continue trying to please. Years have passed and I have watch loved ones disappear into the dark I try to please only to fail because I’m unable to fill your heart with the love I would share. Standing in the sun watching you walk away I feel a great loneliness envelope my corner of the world A tear is clutching within my throat Knowing I will be unable to fill your need Only to know I love you my son And I will continue Trying To Please. Yo BonBon, Trying to please anyone is a big mistake, and can come across as offensive. Doing what is right for yourself rubs off, and set a good example. As far as children goes, it's their job to please the parents. Of course when they were growing up, I used to beat them with my belt. Now the youngest one is 40, and they all still strive to keep me happy, all four of them. Bobby [This message has been edited by Robert E. Jordan (01-21-2009 10:40 PM).] |

Well you know Bonnie, I have always found that it is impossible to please anyone. Including my children. So, I just work on pleasing myself. |
