Just One Scared Creature You find my words disturbing to you but you listen all the same I see my actions scare you but you stay within the frame I have seen you run and hide from me just a frightened little thing Your eyes widen with every sudden move that i may bring, Hiding behind, everything thinking you are safe Every minuet of your life is spent hiding your face Waiting for night time to show yourself to me Jumping wild at every sound When all you want is to run wild and free, A nice warn bed you have to sleep and rest your head But you hide in the shadows with discomfort instead You pore little fox cub the vet will make you strong Then you can go back into to the wild That's where you really belong, Annie.. 09-09-2008, |

Oh, Annie, thank you so much for helping the little fox cub and for planning to let him/her go back into the wild when he/she is healed. You are my hero - and Tigger's and Daisy's! Tigger is my cat and Daisy is my dog. (Heroine doesn't sound quite right.) I enjoyed your poem, but will feel much better when he/she is well again and not so afraid. Owl |

I think you will enjoy my conversation with a baby zebra and his mom. I have posted it before, but will post it again. Owl |

Oh, my goodness!!! Poor little darling. No wonder he was so frightened - in so much pain and not understanding why! I am SO glad he survived to run free again. THANK YOU for your poem, but especially for what you did for the fox. - Owl |

Anniepimm - While reading I couldn't wait to get to the ending, as I never did figure it out. Then when I did I knew the meaning of your words. A pleasure to read this writing, and give you a lot of credit for helping the fox... BC |
