Lost and laughing
answer: birds
the sweetness and the shrill
absurd

lost and laughing
on the path
the gutteral of m'last love
liatening
interred, a word, the love is

heard

lost and laughing:
me and mine
frost and fasting
intertwined
like you didn't know before--

patterns mark the path of days
tossed and dancing on the way
skipping over that big root
lost and laughing, tossing soot

from these dried out lengthenings;
leaves in laughter
that groping
mastering the ultimate:

Zing! The bang!

penultimate

as I held my ears
I'd hear
the wishes of my underbreath

lost and laughing
me and mine

aligned alone in mirroring

touching on the glass of these

mine and me and I, are we
from the dried out breath of breathe:

penultimate

and mine -

a creed

daring to dance in the dark...
laughing in the interlace
of my hands
awake and sparked:

grateful to be dead.

Please don't stop the music     I actually loved this one K, and read it two ways.  I could actually picture you in front of a mirror dancing to the "Grateful Dead," and that was quite a vision this early in the morning.  Of course I did read a serious side to it too, but preferred my version.  Have a great weekend.

I am sitting here trying to figure out a definition for my new word.

I'm glad you took the happier interpretation of the whole--it was inspired by a late-night discussion of the psychology of rash, impulsive behavior (such as jumping in rivers, etc.) which might indicate a subconscious death wish.

And that's what came out.

Are ya liatin' t'me?
