Forever In Your Heart

0 posted 2009-05-28 01:09 AM

Spirit winds are calling me,
my people know my name,
the one of the sunflower,

Whose seeds are cast,
blown into the wind,
dancing into hearts,

The earth is crying,
weeping for love,
her wounds are great,

Healing is my chant,
by the fire I sit,
in song and dance,

Mighty mother nature,
all creatures great and small,
I lend you my voice,

My heartbeat echoes,
the whispers of pain,
your cries will be heard,

This great land once was,
our home, our world,
it will be again,

Spirit songs upon the wind,
release your tears into the heavens,
cleanse this land,

With the eagle eyes,
I roam to and fro,
flying across this land,

The great spirit,
comes in vivid dreams,
giving visions of wisdom,

I, daughter of Cherokee,
stand as my father, my grandfathers,
to heal this land,

Saving her life,
before she dies from poison,
her blood flows,

My hands , my heart,
shall be cleansed,
from all of this,

For I am SUNFLOWER,
daughter of the Cherokee,
unto the winds, hear my cry....

This is a gorgeous and poignant poem sweetheart.

Let's hope that we can heal the Earth Mother.

I cherish the sunflower, and this poem is a lovely tribute to the essence of this wondrous flower and all who cherish Mother Earth.
