By Chance In every whisper of the wind Every freight train dream bearing down eternity’s track Just as the perennial blooms of grass emerge gratefully to dance Cherished are the wishes waiting at the threshold of time Certainty is a cool drink, thirsted in bewitching hours This world sleeps silently to the tunes of devotion Deaf now, to the currents crafted solidly in storms Here, I dangle in serpentine pose Every secret has been spoken to the underside of leaves To be heard in the hearts of those intuitive and open mouthed Deepest wishes, tucked between the cleaves of sun and moon There, they hold fast to the source of creation in kindness So this I speak to you my love A fundamental truth that steers one deliberate path Attentively, I fan the flames of deepest red and blue to boil Without you, my inner world would be silent and dark Just by chance, that sunrise would carry the rain Copyright Kkh 5/27/09 |

there are so many lovely aspects to this that I hardly know where to start...the imagery? surely surreal...the composition of the words? par excellence...the passion? breatheable...but, my favorite part has to be this: "Every secret has been spoken to the underside of leaves To be heard in the hearts of those intuitive and open mouthed" ...standing in awe (with mouth agape) |
