(pretty acoustic flow, soft) Can't stop this pain inside my head, thinking about all the things you said, why did you walk away and leave me alone, faded memories lingering on, and on,.... (heavy guitars climbing louder) (Chorus)(Fast heavy strokes) Your my affliction, my addiction, I can't seem to break away, your my religion, under conviction, I bow to you and pray, Our love was fiction, my hearts crucifixion, my soul, the debt to pay, released from restriction, now non-fiction, your games, I won't play...... Darkness falls around me, shadows on the wall, misery has found me, it has come to pay a call, this emptiness inside me eats away the pain, Its killing me, Knowing I'll never love again, Now the heart has crumbled, ashes, they fall, into my life you stumbled, breaking the wall, nothing is left here, not even a spark, you took a dagger, and stuck it into my heart... (Chorus) Your my affliction, my addiction, now I am walking away, I found a new religion, no conviction, no more games to play, Our love was fiction, my hearts crucifixion, turning back red from grey, released from restriction, now non-fiction, no matter what you say..... nothing can change me.... nothing can put your love inside... nothing can change me.... my love for you has died... My heart is free.... free....free.... Free to love again.... (PERSONAL NOTE) This was not written from, to or about anything going on in my life....I just logged on and felt inspired and it came to me within minutes, I could hear it being sung and played as I typed the words to it. |

I can hear the potential of the music in your lyrics. I also understand the disclaimer, as I often write stuff that hasn't any basis in my current life. But I'm impressed with your utilization of "the bridge" in songwriting--lyrics are quite different from traditional poetry, and you do have the bones of a nice song here. Congrats, with my appreciation. |
