Daylight's thoughts laid to rest
As sleep becomes insistent
The tranquil daytime hours succumb
Becoming fading will-o'-the-wisp fantasies
And slowly sleep occupies the stage
Resurfacing in the deep night the plays begin
The truth phantoms write the scripts
Their hungry power fed by the dauntless
Bruised memories of broken dreams

And then another day,
so nice how you pen
the soul of us all
to sleep, to dream,
to live,
