You told me to climb up, but mostly down down your neck. Down your vision-ladders, and down the convenient slit in your most comfortable sweatshirt. I tried with thumbless hands, toeless feet- to turn your heart's doorknobs, open your mind's jar. The three-dollar wine sustained your drunken footsteps. And midnight laughter- it sustained what I thought thought must be love. _________________________________________________ -P Everyone deserves to be loved, even you. |

My dear SEA... Glad to have brought a little joy to your day. You keep it up, and I will crack open a bottle of SIX dollar wine (oh yeah: the good, spendy stuff.) and do my best to talk you into coming up here, to the frozen north And my new friend Kaoru... You are wonderful. You manage to make me smile with your wit, with most every reply to my poems. Must be a Minnesotan thing, eh? Everyone deserves to be loved, even you. |
