You told me to climb up, but mostly down down your neck. Down your vision-ladders, and down the convenient slit in your most comfortable sweatshirt. I tried with thumbless hands, toeless feet- to turn your heart's doorknobs, open your mind's jar. The three-dollar wine sustained your drunken footsteps. And midnight laughter- it sustained what I thought thought must be love. _________________________________________________ -P Everyone deserves to be loved, even you. |

My dear SEA... Glad to have brought a little joy to your day. You keep it up, and I will crack open a bottle of SIX dollar wine (oh yeah: the good, spendy stuff.) and do my best to talk you into coming up here, to the frozen north ![]() And my new friend Kaoru... You are wonderful. You manage to make me smile with your wit, with most every reply to my poems. Must be a Minnesotan thing, eh? Everyone deserves to be loved, even you. |
