Only God knows How close and often I came to losing you We lie here quietly As one as the sun From his own love Slowly rises in the East Red and blue Green and gold We’ve grown Together You and I Even closer With the years Sparrows flutter Past the window On their way To another day Look Dearest How waves of light Lap the edges of our shore . |

I'm touched by the way you contrast the eternal, rising of the sun with the ephemeral fluttering of sparrows. You lead me to believe in something which I've often doubted: less is more. |
