When sundown's orchid banners fade And birds wing outward to the sea, And rising mists, like phantom drapes, Envelope me... Then through the far and far away, As evening's benedictions fall... Across the silent deep of dusk I hear your call. Mute then the birds and seas are stilled, And the breath of the wind is low... And only I know the reason why Of the hush in the afterglow. |

Rex - There is beauty in the words enhanced by an unusual cadence which drums its own beat. It goes straight to the visual where that "hush in the afterglow" waits. I like this a lot Rex. Namyh |
