I've Gone Too Far

Some things are too simple
to understand,
lines too straight to walk,
air too pure to breathe:

warm milk before bedtime,
a dead goldfish,
a vagabond drinking Sangria
in the shade of a
telephone pole,

over thinking is
an incurable disease
caught by sitting
in rows of plastic chairs.

I feel sick.

Keep flying to the sun with these gargoyle wings.
