I would have held you for a thousand years, now I crumble into cliched tears. Your innocence assures you're just in adoring your fresh faced lust. Forever, I strived so hard to acheive To give you all you could want or need but your doe eyes were quick to crave the excitement that new men gave. I would have waited forever at your door but those thousand years are mine, no more. In such an ugly time, beauty is the real protest |
