My desire to fill a void
your desire to be enjoyed
my hollow words employed
of love completely devoid

My thrill more for the chase
more words sugar laced
no longer you stayed chaste
my decisions made in haste

But you fell deeper than I thought
my words now danger fraut
I gave too much support
my spider web has you caught

Your love must now be spurned
that love I never earned
this lesson must be learnt
before more hearts are burnt.

In such an ugly time, beauty is the real protest
