You promised you'd be there
To pull me out
Of the grave I was falling into

You said you'd hold my hand
Be my light
And give me the advice I needed

I looked up into the sky at night
And you told me
That was your presence in the dark hours

You hugged me when I cried
And you always will
At least thats what you told me

But where are you now?
I need you now
You told me, promised you'd be here.

Now I'm on my own, I'm slipping
slipping back into my grave
with all your empty promises...

You promised you'd be there
To pull me out
Of the grave I'm falling into

Where are you?

That's when we use the old "straw that broke the camel's back" metaphor. Isn't this all too common, left for dead no matter how much we've given? And we are told it was us that dug the damn thing to begin with.

I liked this, made me think. =)
