You promised you'd be there To pull me out Of the grave I was falling into You said you'd hold my hand Be my light And give me the advice I needed I looked up into the sky at night And you told me That was your presence in the dark hours You hugged me when I cried And you always will At least thats what you told me But where are you now? I need you now You told me, promised you'd be here. Now I'm on my own, I'm slipping slipping back into my grave with all your empty promises... You promised you'd be there To pull me out Of the grave I'm falling into Where are you? |

That's when we use the old "straw that broke the camel's back" metaphor. Isn't this all too common, left for dead no matter how much we've given? And we are told it was us that dug the damn thing to begin with. I liked this, made me think. =) |
