Brussels Chocolate

She knew I was just passing
through, she knew.
Over coffee and cinnamon buns
I looked into her eyes
and I told her the truth,
no sad stories nor silly lies.
While words of admiration
proceeded from my mouth
she told me of a
chocolate factory
on the way
to her house.
The gooey cinnamon buns
were scrumptious and sticky,
her long black hair
fell all over my coffee,
and she so close
I should have puckered
up and kissed her,
but I chose instead
to resist her.
Later while eating
Brussels chocolate
I could no longer
resist her,
inbetween each bite
of chocolate
I kissed her,
kissed her
and kissed her.
Our faces were
a mess, totally
chocolate blessed.

Thank you for the morning smiles, dear James. A sensuous chocolate meeting it was! Belgium chocolate is quite extraordinary ... and as a Swiss I am a severe judge I think!

Love,
Margherita

Yummy and passionate. This poem is sunshine in a cloudless moment caught in a girl's eye who has just been kissed.

James,

Chocolate will rot your teeth, and make you fat.  I just thought you should know that.

chocolate blessed?  That made me smile! I could see this with a sweetheart, but also with a small daughter and a Daddy who doesn't get to see her very often.  Nicely done.
