While daring a rainbow unweaved He gave it all to breathe Flotsam in the sea, adrift with no more left to give Now, as if dead, their eyes stare perhaps in grief, perhaps indifference yet they cannot see what is clearly there his bare soul and heart, his essence Oh, how he wishes they could see see all that he is, all that he could be How he wishes they could walk and be free of the damning flock But they see nothing, nothing at all They don't bother with a dying flame There they lie, forever enthralled while he by the Outside is claimed |
