Left at the Welcoming Forest Arms

A good and busy day leaves its pearls upon my face
Tanning my skin in the fragrance of harmony oils
Looking up at dusk, the clouds placed in sweeping strokes
Blue gray upon the pallet set above me
Home feels mellow around my soul, tee shirt tease to blow the breeze
Routine shoes off, thumb of mail drop and tails wagging in missed you beat
The walls are warmer as they announce the purity of once again sounds
And so we go, leash and lather make our way in chuckle bones of pull and tag
Into another world of secret smiles and hues of green at rest
Chasing mowed pathways through the tall grass, wild violet and clover pass
Open through the rock walls, farther and farther the day gently falls
To the tree line, sensing the language of another place, time and space subsides
Tall and full the new of spring resides
To breathe and wander without destination, moving in the speed of mused migration
Another warm, another quiet feather fall of self taught prayer
Capturing the turn of evening in the spell of unaware
Carried here in mellow around my soul
Along and by, this sunset sigh resounds
Left at the welcoming arms of forest, peace abounds
Refreshed, we walk a pace of mingled minds
Returning to enchanted moments, every done of day aligns

This is masterfully written, pulling me right into the scenes and sensations.  I love the ending:
Refreshed, we walk a pace of mingled minds
Returning to enchanted moments, every done of day aligns

When I read your title, I thought we were off for a couple of beers in some quaint village inn; I'm so glad that we weren't.
Coming home after a good and busy day, to the comforting touch of home, and walking the dogs into the dusk. That'll do for me, especially where you took me.
Deliciously descriptive, and written with a most talented pen.
