Makes no difference whichever choice is made
All things no matter what, are destined to fade
Don’t be disconsolate if you drag behind
You’ll finish still the same you’ll find
Bringing me down with your lips to paralyze
Fade the lines across the page before my eyes
Follow me to the converging space between
Where your darkest thoughts will be seen
Dream of me and the things will all be real
That only appear to be what you want to feel
Give in to the chaos for that is the only way
To get through to the other side, another day
You always think in the evil absolutes
As your will remains the most resolute
Use that to ward off the impending day you die
Until then, every day is a sort of goodbye

"every day is a sort of goodbye"

Indeed it is, CG. So many goodbyes in one lifetime - and we can still smile.  Aren't we just too amazing for words?  That aside, enjoyed your perspective of "things" but have you ever thought that perhaps "as below, so above"?  Maybe our below is already creating our above - that scares me!

CG, I do so enjoy reading your thoughts which you always express so poetically.

Hopefully, with every good-bye, there is a new hello! ~ Sort of a "When one door closes ~ another one opens" scenario.

I love the depth and layers of your work... and these lines particularly... The ending is a truth we usually choose to ignore... Superb penning!

As yer resident witch--I felt obligated to read this'n.

I'm half asleep in the afternoon, so forgive me if I'm befuddled as I try to picture a guy who is actually built the way your title suggests.

I concede I always had problems figuring out which end was up anyway. *laughing*

I know--I shall simply follow the bouncing ball...s?

It's nice to have you back on the scroll, Jer. Enjoyed.

Just men, in general?

And sorry I missed the tone--I'm still at the movies in my mind.
