Darkest night is cold without you
Lying softly, arms around me,
Daylight's break is bleak without a
Gentle whisper, kiss to wake me.

Shadows loom and cast their shade here,
Out my window distant longing,
Heartache rendering a soulless
Shell of cold, the demons thronging.

When I see your face all the angels are shamed.
