You are a sonnet laid out in black and white Fingers to trace the letters one by one He wants to know you fully with careful study And to keep you in the light of the sun To express the feelings into thoughts And the thoughts into words These are the times when it hits him most They escape and bear no worth A thunderbolt in his mind courses through Behind his eyes an idea springs to being To put pen to paper and let what may come And then seeing becomes the believing A light in the dark this letter to be Comfort in the stresses of the day As long as you take the time to read The caresses of words he has to say You feel the warmth of the passion burn From the depths of the inner sea Of his heart conquered by you eternal And the love that comes from he |
