Cold Rain 4-6-09 Driven, cold rain mounts a rising wind, rides the gale to glory: lovers til the end. A given, that we should come to this. I knew, you knew, there’d be no parting kiss. Trumpets for the soldiers, bells for the slain. Drums and thunder hold us waiting for the rain. Nan (Pilgrim variety) |

"I knew, you knew, there’d be no parting kiss." ~ and your brilliant closing made that very apparent! Linda |

Well done, poet. Powerful evocative imagery. Hope you're 'weathering' all the storms that have been hitting your area? (thanks for your reply to Monsieur d'Oncology) |
