The meaning of Romance will surely test The truest quill, still-poised in wait...to tell — What is the source? Where does the magic rest That feeds the flow of ink to form the spell? But how tell a stone what a breath will hush, What ancient message of a vein is part — A Romance must be felt — its silky rush And, too, its often-sudden sting the heart Must feel that longs to understand - Thus shield Not the crimson vault! Let the rush inside And stoke love’s infant embers to last yield That flame by which eternal laws abide — As to life is breath, to love is romance, And so in life and love entwined we dance. CG |

"But how tell a stone what a breath will hush" Nice line. Indeed, what words could describe it adequately. |
