I stutter father bleating surrender the stones heaped bend me sapless beneath your branches make of me a beggar trembling in her rags Thirsting beside the still water silence divides these hands my cup pours anointing the dusty valley I wept to see her dry bones Lazarus is not here No balm for ravaged knees I cry in the light for darkness sparrows mock my frailty pluck the very hairs that were knit upon my crown smite me lamp black blind Ravening wolves howl impatient for flesh and still I listen waiting for the bush to flame to tell me why Zion is so far away |

Read this one a couple of times and very much enjoyed the different levels in it. It sounds like a good cleansing of the heart and soul. I look forward to reading more of your works in here. |

This is really good... I felt the despair. You're an interesting poet, dear lady. Much enjoyed. ![]() |

This reminds me of Silvia Plath's writing a bit. I liked the way the lines hit hard with intensity. Nicely written. ~*Krista Botterill*~ |

Ms. Blaze Thanks for the visit. I appreciate your time. Alwye Nice to meet you here. You wrote "Cycloning", of which I am particularly fond. Thank you both for kind comments. Heather |
